In Here Lies, mystery surrounds every demise. You and your friends, the world's greatest detectives, have gathered to compare your toughest cases. Murders, accidents, betrayals - these are the events of the past you seek to understand.
With one player taking the lead, the remaining investigators will inquire about the case, building up a collection of clues that individually do very little, but together create a web of intrigue and storytelling. The lead investigator will listen and guide the team, assessing how close they are getting to their 'eureka moment', with all players winning or losing together.
During play, the Lead Investigator will provide creative clues involving words, motions, poses, drawings, and more at the request of the Investigators, all in pursuit of key pieces of information. If player discussion veers closely to an answer, players may get a clue that they are on the right path. It is up to them to hone their answers down to the correct narrative, which is scored as a team including the Lead Investigator.
