You are a winemaker from Bordeaux making, aging, and selling your artisanal wines. You strive to create the highest quality and most prestigious wines in France. Bordeaux is a condensed, paper-and-pencil version of the board game Fromage. This travel-sized game easily fits in a backpack and doesn't require a table, so it can be played anywhere: the backseat of a car, an airplane, the beach, or even while you stand in a long line at a game convention! The game lasts 13 turns (years). Each year, assign workers to Make Wine or Gather Resources, choosing a duration of 1, 2, or 3 years for each action. Longer duration means a more powerful action, but it will take longer for that worker to be ready again. At game-end, score points for your wine and resources.
- PLAY ANYWHERE, NO TABLE REQUIRED: Bordeaux is the ultimate "game night in your pocket." Its streamlined paper-and-pencil design fits easily in a backpack and requires no table space, making it perfect for airplanes, the beach, wine bars, or even waiting in long lines at conventions.
- ARTISANAL WINEMAKING CHALLENGE: Step into the role of an elite winemaker in France. Over a 13-year (13-turn) campaign, you must strategically make, age, and sell high-quality artisanal wines to earn prestige and become the most successful vintner in Bordeaux.
- STRATEGIC TIME MANAGEMENT: Assign your workers to gather resources or craft wine with a unique duration mechanic. Choose 1, 2, or 3-year actions—longer durations provide more power but keep your workers busy for more turns. Master the balance of efficiency versus strength to win!
- PORTABLE ADAPTATION OF FROMAGE: Fans of the acclaimed board game Fromage will love this condensed version. It retains the deep decision-making and theme of the original while offering a faster, travel-friendly experience that you can take on the go.
