The goal of IMPS is to end with the most points—gained by capturing pieces, protecting your castle, and marching your overlord to your opponent's castle.
The game rewards players that can plan a few steps ahead and predict what their opponent is going to do. The board state changes a lot in one turn, so you'll have to be clever!
